TRANSFORMATION

Transformation & BBBEE

Overview

Transformation is a central component of Concor’s strategic plan, with a strong emphasis on B-BBEE related elements as crucial drivers for achieving our purpose and vision. Our commitment to transformation is embedded throughout the business and is guided by a Board-approved Transformation Plan.
The Transformation Plan is aligned with the Group’s business plans, Employment Equity Plan, Construction Sector Codes, and shareholder performance agreements. This commitment aims to unlock our organizational potential, foster growth and contribute to a more equitable society.
Concor is proud to be a Level 1 B-BEE accredited business. The Group first achieved these empowerment credentials in October 2017 and have successfully retained this status over the last 7 years.

Enterprise & Supplier Development

Overview

Launched in 2010, Concor’s Enterprise & Supplier Development (ESD) program is a three-year initiative aimed at mentoring and training Small, Medium, and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs). The program’s primary objectives are to improve the construction value chain by developing SMMEs, enhancing procurement processes, increasing financial support for Black-owned entities, and stimulating growth in local communities – thereby contributing to the development of the South African economy.
The programme is self-funded and leverages Concor’s resources and expertise to provide:
  • General mentorship and coaching
  • Specialized technical training
  • Financial and HR management support
  • Access to office space, administrative assistance, and transport
  • Subsidized plant and equipment leasing
Concor does not provide financial assistance or loans to ESD beneficiaries, but does provide references for ESD partners and assists in facilitating access to our stakeholder networks and supply chain.
